Indications for Use
For skin preparation prior to surgery and for postoperative wound care.
For use prior to surgical procedures, catheterization, injections, blood sampling, punctures, excisions, cannulations, and biopsies.
To support general hygiene measures in the prevention of fungal skin infections.
If a specialized hand sanitizer is not available, kodan® tincture forte colorless may also be used for hygienic hand disinfection.*

* VAH certification does not apply to hygienic hand disinfection.

Instructions for Use
Use kodan® undiluted before any invasive procedure.
Spray the product onto the skin to be treated or apply it with a swab moistened with the product, ensuring the skin is thoroughly moistened.
Strictly observe the recommended contact time according to the specific application.
Remove any excess product to prevent fluid accumulation on the skin.
Before joint punctures and preoperative skin preparation, remove hair mechanically or chemically.
For preoperative antiseptic skin cleansing, it is recommended to use, for example, octenisan®.
To prevent the marks from being erased, use only alcohol-resistant skin markers.

For external use only.
Keep this medication out of the reach of children.
If the product accidentally gets into your eyes, immediately rinse them with plenty of water for several minutes, keeping your eyelids open.
Due to its high alcohol content, kodan® tincture forte colorless must not be used on premature infants or newborns with immature skin (for example, if the skin’s protective barrier has not yet fully developed).
Flammable. Keep away from open flames and electrical heat sources.
When using electrocautery or other electrical devices, ensure that the product has completely dried before the procedure to prevent unwanted risks.
Before measuring blood glucose levels (e.g., with glucose meter test strips), allow the product to dry completely so that it does not affect the test results.
If surgical incision films are used prior to surgery, allow the product to dry completely so that the film’s adhesion is not compromised.
Once the package is opened, the product may be used for 12 months, but no longer than the expiration date indicated on the package.

100 g of the solution contains the following active ingredients:
45.0 g of 2-propanol (Ph. Eur.),
10.0 g of 1-propanol (Ph. Eur.),
0.2 g of biphenyl-2-ol.

Other ingredients:
30% hydrogen peroxide solution (Ph. Eur.), purified water.
